Support GfE

The Group for Evangelisation is financially supported by the churches but is always in need of further help to extend its work.

Here you can find out how to support in finance and prayer.

The work of GfE is really backstage. Arranging meetings and conferences, providing resource information, and serving the netork are all things which go on away from the public eye. We are happy for that. If we were to present pictures of our work, much of it would be like the one below where we meet, pray and consider the Lord's work and how we can all help our churches work together for the extension of the Kingdom. We know it is not the kind of work which provides pictures of great need with great appeal for prayer and financial assistance!

However, even though the churches we represent support the work we do have our own financial needs and we would love to do a lot more. Research, partnerships, projects and new initiatives which help the churches in England evangelise together, readilly come to mind. We could host various meetings of new networks that all do evangelisation but do not work together if we had some further support. At present the Executive Secretary is 3/4 time and capacity could be increased if this were to be full time.

All of the GfE priorities for 2008 could be taken on to a different level. We can collate information and let the right hand know what the left is doing. We already manage certain projects and plan an Annual Consultation on Proclamation in the Twenty First Century. We plan to have various other gatherings in 2009 and could partner with a number of national initiatives if we had more capacity to offer.

If you are in a position and interested to support our work we would be pleased to hear from you. Any of the members on the Members page would be happy to hear from you, or you could contact the Secretary direct. We are producing a brochure of our work to provide information abouthow to give and this will be posted on this site in the newar future. In the mean time please pray for all of the needs and work we plan to do under God in 2009.

Thank you.

Why GfE?

The national evangelism officers who serve the major churches in England naturally need to meet, pray, know each other, and work together where possible. GfE serves that need. It does not have a seperate agenda.

GfE is both a Think Tank and Project Management group.

The aim is to help churches, national, regional and local 'work together to share the good news of Jesus Christ'.

The Churches Coordinating Group for Evangelisation (GfE) is a coordinating group of Churches Together in England

What does GfE coordinate?

All of this work is in response to the Gospel and Great Commission of Jesus, and the work of Churches Together in response to the mandate given by national church leasders in the Swanwick Declaration.
